Do you offer mobile massage?2021-06-29T08:35:37+00:00

Most of Indigo Spring’s work is from the luxury salon in Yateley. This is preferable as guest can really connect with the experience. Indigo Spring will occasionally offer mobile treatments to make the service accessible to those who can’t access the studio.

What kind of lubricant do you use?2017-02-07T16:41:08+00:00

When massaging directly onto the skin a lubricant is required.

A small amount of oil is warmed in the hands and then smoothed across the skin to enable the skin to move with the therapists hands.

I use grapeseed oil as the base skin lubricant.

For aromatherapy massage, oils are pre blended to reflect the massage intention.

Do I have to get undressed?2017-02-07T16:44:15+00:00

Not if you don’t want to – that’s the short answer.

Seated massages are usually clothed and use deep pressure techniques to hone in on trigger points. This works well on the back, neck and shoulders.

However for a more comprehensive massage, or for relaxation, it is better to work directly on your skin. For this we ask you to remove clothes covering the area we will be working on. You lie on a massage couch and your body will be covered with towels.

All professional massage therapists will be aware of modesty and dignity. The practice at Indigo Spring is as follows:

  • We begin with a short consultation to discuss your specific needs, medical history, preference of massage styles.
  • The therapist will ask you to remove clothes down to your pants (if you are comfortable with this) and lie face down on the massage couch and cover with towels. The therapist will then step out of the room whilst you get changed.
  • As different parts of the body are massaged, towels are used to cover other areas, for modesty and warmth.
  • Massage therapists don’t massage private areas.
  • Your therapist will ask you about the amount of pressure you would like. This varies greatly so do let them know.

If you prefer not to be massaged undressed, please ask and you can have a seated massage.
